i am absolutely appalled by what ive seen on this website.Contrary to your belief not all section 8 tenants are bad.i myself am a section 8 tenant and i keep my home in almost perfect condition.i scrub my tile floors, vacuum everyday, shampoo once a month, and my rent is always on time.and its not just welfare moms that recieve section 8.section 8 was created for those who need help getting on there feet.i myself dont plan on living on section 8 for life.i plan on owning my own home someday but i am seriously disgusted by the way you are talking about people.yes there are alot of section 8 tenants who are complete garbage but to combine all of us into the same catagory is ridiculous.and although i try to be a perfect tenant i have a slumlord who doesnt do anything yet i still pay my rent on time every month..he didnt put the storm windows in properly, sink drain was to small for the hole it went in,my toilet was so disgusting when i moved in i had to use at least 7 gallons of bleach to get only most of it off,the carpets are frayed at the doorways from the previous tenants dog chewing the carpets, and theres more where that comes from.yet i try not to complain.i work hard for everything i get and i need a little help so that classifies me as a welfare mom??and my parents did not have section 8 they worked hard everyday of there lives to support me and my siblings without any help.so before u judge people by there financial status how bout u ask'how did i get where i am today?cuz im pretty sure u had some help along the way.
