I don't know how you phrased the question about arrests to this applicant, but it sounds like they lied to you. That's more than enough reason for me to tell someone to move on...I don't feel obligated to show the unit to everyone who calls or emails.

Thanks- I need to remember that. I do need be tougher. I'll get there.

With this person, he's only 19, lives with parents and has no credit history, so there's lots of reasons to move on besides the blatant "omission" of his legal problems.

    he did reply with the truth, you said your ad clearly states that you only accept tenants with no criminal background. he has no criminal background as yet. it's best to learn to ask the proper question to get the proper answer. no blatant "omission", just the truth, probably what his attorney told him he could say.
