I think you mean depreciatable (sp). CA is just like a furnace. I believe you have to depreciate it over 271/2 years, but it could be only 15-20 years, so don't quote me on the 271/2.

It can even be 179ed in one year. The depreciation schedule can vary greatly depending upon your tax needs; something you need to consult with CPA on if you don't know how to it yourself. Not many people will need the full amount deducted in one year and 15+ years may be too long. Personally I used a 5 year schedule.
