Thank you for your reply Katie. I am a bit confused. The rent amount as specified by the Landlord is 900 per person. He then wrote a letter stating his opinion of the room values was that they were different than what was being paid under the current lease. So, how is he not involved in this? He is giving one price in the lease, and giving another privately. I don't know if you missed that part. My simple question was regarding the landlord's behavior, because he does have a written lease for x amount of dollars, divided evenly, and now is causing a great deal of disagreement by inserting his opinion into who should pay what. If he hadn't done that, there would be NO leg for the other girl to stand on. You seem quite ready to be hostile to me, for reasons unknown. I asked in good faith and I feel like you didn't even read question before making assumptions that problems were between roommates, not landlord. Again, if that is the case, he should have kept his mouth SHUT or increased the RENT per ROOM. I had heard you all jump all over tenants and I wanted to come here in good faith and see whether there is a bias or negative attitude for no reason. You were brusque and not very pleasant. There is no need to treat people like that.

Like I said...landlord is making a misstep are getting into this.

The lease is what counts. Signed by everyone...it is the contract the courts will hold everyone to. After all, if it comes to a serious dispute....opinion is only final if it is coming from a judge.
