I require every adult in the household to pass credit, background, and criminal check. That means that each must fill out an application, sign it, and pay the application fee. With 4 adults that is starting to get pricey.

What is your required standard? If it take 4 to cover the rent, what happens when one loses their job? What happens when one moves out?

How are the 4 adults related? Are you opening yourself up to having an even larger extended family start to move in? Think how you would protect your property and your income.

I've never had this happen. Closest I get is 4 college kids living together...and in that case each of their parents have signed the lease and have excellent credit they are not going to trash over the kids rent.
