Well I have quite a diferent scenario. I live in a 4 bd house with my sisters and we love it. It's owned by a multi property investor who i jear is a mult millionaire in CA> Just made that point o let you know that we've been there for 7 yrs and he has no interest in living in the house. Welll we recently got a citation for our bushes being overgrown. We took our hedge cutters and got to work. We love the landscapping of the house ad wanted to mainitin it correctly. Well we got a second citation saying you did great, you just need to remove a few more hagning branches. The property mangement sent SOME HACK and DESTROYED our yard. I'm typing this and I could cry. I know the onwers would agree. Beautiful tall evergreens trimmed to nothing, bushes uprooted... Hideous trim job and uprooting of bushes leaving dirt patches, It's so bad the neighbors complained to us. They saud "you all do such a nice job of upkeep why would you do this. It looks horrible and exposes the need for upkeep on the house. We just signed a new lease NEVER and iI mean NEVER in 7 years have we been late on rent. The property is impecable ( as we love this house) and we are proud of it. I feel like we have no options. I want those shrubs back, they kept the house cool and discreet. WE don't want grass seed and Kentucky blue grass in Colorado , we pay our own water and the leasing site even said the owners didn't want it. We are literraly distraught over the look of this house. Had this been done months ago. We wouldn't have renewed our lease. We are excellent tenants. If I had a property i'd want tenants like us, I wish i could alert the property manager and let him know how awful it looks. What can we do. I feel like the property management site just hired some guy with a trimmer, a truck and a crew. If this is a licensed landscapper then a blind man can go into the business. ANy advice. I e-mailed our property management and let them know we need help. Our neighbors think it's an eyesore and I feel badly for them. They own thier houses and it isn't fair if the rental property is bringing down the neighborhood.
