tenant's SSN

Hello, Earlier this month I canceled the service of a property manager, who leased my property last December to the current tenant. The property manager returned all documents, including the current tenant's application. But the tenant's SSN was blanked out in there. I understand that the property manager does not have to give me the tenant's SSN. But how can I get the tenant's SSN now?

Did your PM do a criminal and credit check on the T? Is that in the docs he returned? Is the SSN on any of that paperwork? If not, you could just call up your T and tell them you had a falling out with the PM, and when you asked for all the paperwork back from him, he did not return your Ts application, and so you would like your T to fill out a new one for you. Yes, its a "little white lie" but it may get the job done.

Why do you need the SSN? Just an FYI you cannot run another credit check on this tenant unless you are using it to renew the lease. You have to be offering something to the tenant to run credit - a lease, a loan etc.
