Because OH LL/T law doesn't address late fees, this is where your fellow area landlords can be invaluable. If you have a local landlord's association, you should seek them out and ask around if they are aware of any case decisions in your local court related to late fees. For instance, in my state late fees are also not discussed in the LL/T law, but the courts locally have capped late fees at $25-$35 total, and will not allow any late fee at all if your lease calls for a daily rate or any amount higher than this. These are the types of things quicker learned from other landlords in your area.
