How could you be showing the house the same day of the lockout....you have not cleaned, cleared the house or torn down the porch you talked about.

Something doesn't jive.....

I was wondering if any prescreening was done? Asking about pets in prescreening would have eliminated this prospect to start with.

I agree - I'm made the mistake of being accommodating - sign in lawn - I'm there show the house - gal brings in her large group. I won't do that any more I prescreen. The pitbulls etc. would have been a stopping point. Saves handing out applications to obviously unqualified people.

I like to meet tenants away from my own personal house and office. I can get a feel for them and hand them the paperwork.Sometimes I'll have a property that would be a better fit. This particular fella didn't follow thru, so I didn't have to keep a file on him.
