I also live in florida it is very hot I rent a house 3/2 for over 2500 a month. The landlord as been told for 5 months now that the air is not working right.He informed me to call his AC guy well I did the tech came out and said this unit is digusting showed me the coil and 3"of water in the return all with sludge and mold. Unit keeps freezing up the unit is 17 years old my bill ranges from 340 to 400 a month for electric. The landlord told me he replaced the pool pump and his budget for this house is done. he did pay to have the coil cleaned but it is still doing the smame thing at least twice a week.
