Re: Neighbor taking evicted T 's mail - Landlord Forum thread 341098

If the house sets back off the road aways, how would an emergency responder locate the right house if the number is on the house instead of on the mailbox? Do you expect them to pull into the drive and go up to the house to see if they are at the correct location.

I live in a community (HOA) where the house number is require to be on the mailbox and cannot be on the house or curb.

Emergency responders have GPS maps that link the phone number to the residence/caller. They don't need a mailbox

Well lets see, some motorist drives by your vacant home and sees smoke coming out the roof and calls 911 who immediately ask for an address, which you cannot find because the mailbox with the street number is removed?

Too many variables that can happen, best to have an easily readable number either on the mailbox or street!
