How do you verify income? - Landlord Forum thread 342676

How do you verify income? by Anonymous (Arizona) on February 1, 2016 @12:34

Do you require your tenants to provide pay stubs or W2's?

Do you call their employer and ask how many hours they work?

I normally request W2 of last year and current paystub up to June. after June, I am okay with only last pay stub if it shows YTD income. It is hard with business owner though. In that case, you require last 2 yr tax return to see stability of income but no one like to provide that.
