Ants by Anon on April 20, 2016 @11:08

Tenant is angry because she has had several ants come in the house. Do I really need an exterminator for this? I'd like to try some other things first but she's so upset about it.

Black ants.. Carpenter ants. Yeah, an exterminator is the only sure way. If you mess around with this and fail ( you likely will) tenany wi ll be even madder. Just get it done

Red ants. This is sugar ants. They will invade where food it let out. Only solution is to clean very well and keep it clean. This is the tenants fault. Exterminator will fail because they will keep coming as long as food is available.

No, you do not need an exterminator for ants. Meet your tenant at the home, and bring a can of Raid with you, along with several little ant poison containers. Have her show you where the ant are, and then spray where you need to and put the little poison containers around. Just make sure no kids or pets can get to any of the poisons. Also check to see if she is keeping the place clean and free of food laying around, which is bring in the ants. The ants are looking for food where ever they can find it. That's what brings them in. Eliminate the food source, and the ants will go away.

If you have Carpenter ants, they will weaken your house structure. They don't eat your wood, but they live in it. Goto site called Bugspray.com and buy the right stuff for the pests you have. All you can do from perimeter of the house is to spray, so they don't enter the house. Hire someone else, or you do it with right chemical compound. Good luck!

Exterminator is not that expensive for something like ants, if the home remedies dont work, dont be shy about professional assistance.

If you want to use home methods first thing I would suggest you to keep some sweet or spray vinegar over them. But it's true that if you want to get rid of them completely you will have to contact exterminator, for this you can take help from Pest Control Mount Kisco NY. My friend solved the problem of ants with the help of these professionals.
