Wow !! here if they find a small amount (not sure what that is) in your possession, you get the equivalent of a ticket for "disorderly conduct", pay a $100ish fine and are done.

Actually, I worded that a little bit wrong. We, the LL, don't get fined for the first offense by the T. Only the subsequent ones, because we knew about the first one from the police, and we allowed the T to remain in the unit without evicting them. So if the T does something again, it's presumed we had knowledge of an illegal act, and did nothing about it. There are dozens of illegal acts in our "nuisance" code that have a "point" attached to them. If a T does something(s) that totals 3 or more "points", the LL can be fined on any future illegal acts that the T does while still living in that same LLs rental. The "act" must happen at the rental, or within 1'000 feet of it. Any time the Police are called to that rental after the 3 points have been reached, the LL gets charged $94 per officer, per hour for that police call----and usually then send 2 officers on the call. Then, to top it off, the LLs property is then called a nuisance property, and the LL must pay the city $50 to take a LL "training class" for 4 hours put on thru the city.

You dope smokers may want to read up about the two dozen or so carcinogens that are in dope smoke.
