Since they've been there longer than one year, you'll need to give them a 60-day notice. I would still contact Section 8 as well. If they don't pay rent, contact Section 8 again and also start legal proceedings. If they want to keep their benefits, they'll get with the program. As far as I know, you can stop participating in Section 8 at any time.
