Last year I rented to a women and 3 children Every thing checked out good. Now she broke her lease and I am sueing her in small claim court she is counter suing me for was with out heat For 3 weeks. What actually happened she called me to tell me she had no heat.we went the same night my husband checked things a part was working on and off. So he got it to work for the night he told her he would replace it in morning. He told her to call him if it stopped durning the night.next morning the part was replaced and things were all good. That was 8 months ago now she claims she was w/o heat for 3 weeks ...a plain lie.... How to deal with this?

You bring your proof of the repair and she brings her proof of no repair to court and the judge will decide the truth.

Sorry for not explaining the dates, 8 months ago is when she left in June we just got our court date so it's actually a year later...
