8 months ago is when she left in June we just got our court date so it's actually a year later...

yes your're right. You are very confusing. 8 months ago is when she left in June is confusing, as that was just a few months ago? it's actually a year later...means you sued her while she was still a tenant? Non of this makes sense??? No wonder the tenant is counter suing, all you have to do is talk to the judge, who will be so confused that the tenant will win!
