Well...congrats!

Now..where did you win? If you won this in housing court...NY will not do a money aware unless the tenant was there for the hearing. So, if you won without the tenant coming...you must turn around and file in small claims too. NY doesn't streamline this like some other states.

Many of the counties in NY do not automatically report the case to the credit bureaus...so, you want to check with the court clerk and be sure this will be done.

Finally.,,the easiest way to do this, give the employment info and a copy of the judgement to a court Marshall. He will charge you $50 and he will do the leg work to file the wage garnishment and get the collections for you. (It might cost more in different counties,,,I only ever did this in Monroe).
