A landlord has no business bringing a non-employee into someone else's home. The landlord can check this out on his own.

There are times when it's in a LLs best interest to bring a WITNESS with them when entering a person's home, especially in this instance, when the LL already knows the T will not be there, AND already knows there may be something wrong in the unit. The vast majority of the LLs in this country are smaller LLs who do not have "employees", or a management company to fall back on. To me, this is just using common sense, to take someone with you. Maybe I should have said "spouse", as the spouse would also be the owner of the property.
