Please do not put in BIG,BOLD NUMBERS the ENDING date, nor any petty comments as G suggested. It will only shown your pettiness and unprofessionalism as a landlord. They will just ignore your comments as from some bitter landlord. Be professional about handling the issue. Your response to the tenant breaking the lease is between you and the tenant. You should have a lease clause detailing what happens when the lease is broken and what damages apply.
Following the advice from someone who never incurred this issue should be avoided at all cost. If the home buying falls through for some reason, would you want to deal with an upset tenant for the rest of the lease, who feels it was because of your comments. Don't be stupid and keep it professional!
