are you kidding me? for a fish? Wow you people are really cheap and reaching! Someone wants a fish and you need a pet deposit? And we wonder why most landlords are slumlords

have you seen the damage a fish tank can cause. some insurance companies will not cover a landlord who permits medium to large tanks.

Yea, I told him it would be okay , but required rental insurance in case of a spill. Most of my past tenants will not tell me if they did brought in any pets. Thank you for the advices.
