VA - Landlord Forum thread 351686

VA by Ashley F (VIRGINIA ) on April 16, 2017 @10:22

My father and I are on the title to a mobile home. My two children, myself, and my spouse currently reside at the residence. My spouse and I pay all the bills there. My father is trying to have my spouse evicted from the property. Can he do this without my consent or signature?

Thank you

Legally, once married, you and your spouse are one and the same as far as the law is concerned. It also takes the consent of all owners to evict someone.
