She collects the majority of the rent from section 8, not from you. You probably pay less than 10% of the total monthly rent. Best bet for you is to call section 8.

I've been given the run around with contacting section 8. The area is a slum. Only thing good is they cut the grass. No laundry area not even a decent park for the kids to play on. I believe her intentions were malicious. How long do you allow a tenant to go without paying rent or ao ahe claims?

More like 30% is realistic for the tenant portion. Theoretically, tenant portion could be 10% but the apartment would have to be renting at about $100/month, which doesn't happen in my real world.
