Re: Landlord wants me to move 4 days early .. and.. - Landlord Forum thread 354372

Since I fully expect this landlord to cheat me out of any deposit, I plan to clean nothing. Pickup nothing. Not even pick up the plastic and paper dishes from the sink.

Even the final utility bill will be hers to pay. Already gave the landlords address to send the final bill after the last readying on Oct 31.

I am moving across the country and she knows it.

I disagree with you, but then again, what LL is going to chase someone clear across the country for an amount above your sec. deposit. It's still in your best interest to take pics when you move. Because if there is TOO much damage left, the LL could file vandalism charges against you, and that could lead to a warrant for your arrest anywhere in the country.

Vandalism charges? Where the hell do you come up with this crap? The landlord wants the tenant out early to get the place repaired and painted. Where was vandalism discussed? The OP just said they were not cleaning up and you equate that to vandalism? You must be on medication, drugs or drinking to come up with such preposterous scenarios.

Again, you seem to be out of your league. The tenant stated she was just not cleaning because she felt the landlord was already going to screw her over for the deposit. So where do you come up with vandalism from what was posted? Do you really believe not cleaning and leaving some trash amounts to vandalism? Your post just confuses the problem and does nothing to constructively add to help answer the tenants concern about the landlord violating her rights. Just maybe you are not as informed as you think you are about landlord issues. Just reading the nonsense in your post answers shows you are very ignorant on many landlord tenant issues. Maybe waiting and reading what other landlords post will help educate you and show you what the real issues are, instead of the ones you make up!
