Look into an umbrella policy. I have for a greater layer of protection from T who bring in dogs without my knowledge. a few hundred dollars for a million dollars coverage. But I sleep better at night.

check your umbrella. most policies follow the underlying insurance. if your primary policy excludes domestic animals, your umbrella probably will also not cover them please post your findings here
