altagracia, I was addressing the OP. I know conditions that cause foundations to move. But the LL should have a test of the property to see if this is a future sink hole area. Or if there should be a lawsuit started against the builder for building over dumped debris.
Also if the plumber is licensed and has tested the gas line for leaks. And has said there is none. Then as the LL you are protected. As far as the T wanting out of the lease. You may want to allow them an out if they push the issue. I would not pay for temp housing or a motel un-less the house condition is shown to be dangerous through a proper license
inspection, by someone with this type of qualifications.
More than likely if the neighbor has rocks under their house as fill. You may have the same.
I would get the property tested for what's under the ground.
