While it is not legal for me to request/require an additional security deposit for a pet, how do you guys typically word your advertising?

Here's what I've been doing to be safe and "legal":
First month's rent and SD are required prior to moving in.
When they ask what the SD is, I ask them if they have pets. If they do, then I require 2 months' rent versus only 1.

Why not just charging extra rent for pet: $50.00 mo. extra. Pet lovers gladly pay the extra rent.
