Just send them the LPA "Security Deposit Crusher" letter. It worked for me.
My state does not require receipts or any proof be sent to the tenant, so I went and visited my lawyer, and then the local JP judge, with my records and documents, and they both said the same thing: no problem, your documentation is fine and would be accepted in court as proof.

What? What kind of advice is that? Are you just upselling documentation from this site? That would only be applicable if the tenants were disputing the charges. What good would that notice do in this situation???
