This is a "stock" question. Most leases and state LL/T laws are usually general in nature, and cannot/do not address every single situation that may come up between a LL and T. What exact wording do you have in your lease, and also what does your state's LL/T laws say about this situation ?

    I was giving my opinion about your question. And I asked you a question. Is it possible for you to please answer it? What wording is in your lease about keys and locks? Is there anything in your state laws that address this situation?
