The personal relationship of the tenants has nothing to do with the agreement between the them and the landlord.

Darryl, write the landlord (certified) and let her know that your ex is abusive and you fear for your safety. This will leave a traceable paper trail that the landlord cant ignore. Then change locks.

Too bad that won't CH(his)A if push comes to shove. Anyone can say anything in a "letter" but without police reports it will mean nothing.
