Owner does not have to attend showings. That's what real estate people do. Ask for some quid pro quo from the landlord. Maybe he'll rebate you half the rent retroactively when you pleasantly cooperate in showings for the past month.

I gathered from the OP's post, that the LL was trying to sell his house on his own, and not go thru a Realtor. I said that in my first sentence. You are correct. If the owner has his place listed with a Realtor, then it would be the Realtor that would be showing the home, and should work with the T as to when they can show it.

    Thank you, Sir. I don't read all the words--to my detriment. I'm kind of a skimmer. In Seattle many years ago we sold a rental home when we were in San Diego. (Big mistake. A $75K 3/2 home in 1985 is probably worth $350K now). Anyway, our Realtor then was good; the tenants were happy to pay 1/2 rent and cooperate.
    The OP should forget about selling it himself; that is just a bad idea.
