Blumberg 55 lease vs LPA's less restrictive lease? - Landlord Forum thread 357712

Blumberg 55 lease vs LPA's less restrictive lease? by Rochelle on June 11, 2018 @20:16

Has anyone been able to compare the two? The A-55 is touted as the most comprehensive apt lease and I read it's in use in about 1/3 of the apts in NYC. The two LPA leases are also supposed to be very comprehensive and landlord protective. Any thoughts on how these compare?

I have never looked at either of the leases you ask about. Get a local lawyer who deals in local landlord tenant cases to prepare a lease for you. Your regional/local landlord association should be able to direct you to an attorney.

My attorney has compared them and the Blumberg is very good especially in apartment buildings in NY City.
Fortunately I am not in NYC.
As far as landlord protection, it is also a little tenant friendly (a side effect of today's liberal sanctuary city political atmosphere)

He recommended to keep using my LPA Lease for my residential properties. It is in plain english and has great detailed landlord protection.

blumberg legal forms have been in wide use and well praised for decades. they are also very good at keeping up with revisions. that said, they are a general form lease and housing court judges are VERY FAMILIAR with them and have confidence in each paragraph,.....as do the LL/T lawyers
