tile vs tub surrounds -- tile stands up better, looks classier, commands a bit more in rent and can be carried to spiff up the room.

click down is a good product with fair wear if underlying floor surface is good and properly prepped. I've seen too many lousy installs often done by ''flooring experts'' for top dollar.

SW or BM are good paints with better hide and coverage,...well worth the additional cost. flat for ceilings, egg shell or satin for walls, semi gloss for doors, trim and wet areas. budget jobs are ok with carrying the wall paint to doors, trim and bases,... but be aware, those areas get beat up faster. wet areas always oil primer / 2 coats on new work with two coats latex semi gloss on top. It'll keep the mold calls at bay.

I've been using the sw or bm midrange lines for years and they are consistently good. They both keep changing the formulas and names so it's best to buy from company stores where the staff is product trained and actually knows what it is and is for.

spend the extra money,....touch ups will be smaller, faster, easier
