I write off my property tax as an expense along with mortgage interest.
When using Turbo Tax, it asks to input that amount when figuring rental expenses.

Thanks! I found that Line 16 of Schedule E is for property tax too but Schedule E Instructions miss Line 16 completely.

since there is no instruction use your best practices / best judgment.

For example you could use the entire property tax or just a portion by counting the rooms. Best judgment would probably dictate to only use the % of rooms and not the full amount.

Good to know how to deal with lines missing Instructions(I thought the IRS forgot to add Instructions). Thank you Daniel.
