"added rent" in Florida - Landlord Forum thread 359140

"added rent" in Florida by Karen on March 18, 2019 @22:43

My tenant damaged our well (the only water source for the house) by running over it with their car. We repaired it the same day, then sent them a bill for the cost of repairs plus an administrative fee. We gave them 10 days to pay the bill but they have not. Can I consider this "added rent" (per the lease) and post a 3-day "pay or quit" immediately?

In most states yes. Check your state landlord tenant law. If you havent already adapt your lease to state landlord/tenant law.

Then have a landlord attorney review it. Money well spent. Believe that.
