Tenant used my name to file FW-001 - Landlord Forum thread 359516

Tenant used my name to file FW-001 by nancy7 on July 21, 2019 @12:08

Hello,
Last week I received FW-003 Order on Court Fee Waiver granting me the court fees waiver with my name, my address and my phone number in it. It has a case number and case name with my tenants name vs. my name.
I still dont know what the tenant is suing me for. And I'm surprised to see that the tenant used my name to get the court fees waived.
I did not contact the tenant yet with my questions about it. Should I?
Thank you.

No, you do not want to contact the tenant. The envelope that the waiver came in should have the address of the court house where the letter came from. Go to that courthouse this week, take the letter with you, and start asking questions about what the letter is/means. You may have to ask several people until you get to the right person.
