Tenant altered my mailing address - Landlord Forum thread 359926

Tenant altered my mailing address by david on November 5, 2019 @20:18

To continue on my previous message, I found out that somebody alerted my forwarding order, and alerted all my mails to be delivered to an completely wrong address. By doing this, he could automatically win the case due to no appearance.

I am sure the tenant did it. However, I don't have the evidence. I also found that she did the same to her previous landlord.

What can I do legally?

As I said to you 2 days ago, you will need PROOF when you go into a court of law. BELIEFS, FEELINGS, OPINIONS, ETC. won't help you win your case.

You said : "I found out .........." That's HEARSAY, and cannot be used in a courtroom. But if you bring that actual person into court so the judge can ask that person questions, that may be the PROOF that you need. You said : "I am sure ......." That's your BELIEF, FEELING, OPINION. It's worthless in a court of law. Just show up for ALL court dates that you know about, present any PROOF that you have, and hope that's it's enough to WIN.
