Who pays? Break in at tenant's by Thomas on February 4, 2020 @14:20

We have a tenant who's place was broken into, they use their apt. as a storage place. Had locksmith come in and repair locks that were popped out. I think we (landlord) pay but am interested in your view?

You are correct. You, the LL, need to pay for the repairs from the break-in, unless you have proof that your T had something to do with the break-in.

Good Question. What if tenant. had someone break in, and stole his or herís belongings. If the Landlord has to pay for break in, isnít this setting up landlord to have to pay for all damages pertaining to this situation?
