Gary, Yes this is a bad situation. Covid most certainly has all landlords scrambling for solutions to their problems. I wish you the best of luck with your situation.

I do strongly encourage you to use credit reporting and tenant reporting. As landlords, we need to start taking it upon ourselves to make the habits of the renting population known to the landlord community. I sincerely believe that if there is enough incentive to be a good tenant and not a bad one that our situations as Landlords will improve all around. Problem is so few of us report that bad tenants get away with their behavior and then prey upon the next unsuspecting Landlord. I should also say reporting good tenant behavior is a great idea, don't just dwell on the negative.
