Kitchen Cabinets

I have the original kitchen cabinets in my rental, which are painted white. While they look nice, I would like to update with new cabinets and a countertop. I am afraid to put in wooden cabinets because I know they will not withstand the wear and tear, so I would have to refinish them. I have been looking into high-quality white laminate cabinets (Kitchen Magic), but I read that they may peel due to heat/humidity in the kitchen. I would appreciate any suggestions about quality new cabinets and a countertop (granite??). The whole point is to create a more updated look and save myself the time and effort of repainting cabinets every time a tenant leaves.

Go to a cabinet store or even big box and have them educate you about cabinets. I dont think your expectations of poor performance are correct. Home Depot has lots of options for cabinets.
Even basic homes these days have solid surface counters. granite or other solid surface works.
