Stupidly, there was no lease as it was my niece who moved in with my mom when we bought the property. My mom has an unofficial "tenancy for life." My niece, through her psychotic actions, caused my mom to have a stroke. My niece ran off and has not been heard from or seen in 18 days (more than 1/2 time required to say she's abandoned the property).

What I want to know is if I need to file anything with the court is the Notice of Abandonment enough?
