I use a property check list when moving in. I should have sent the list when they were going to leave (even though they have a copy). I sent a general letter abt cleaning carpet, replace light bulbs, etc (I'd used with another rental - 5 yr tenant, no pets & no problems.) The back door lock doesn't work - probably won't charge her for that - keys fit, but don't do anything. There are no batteries in any of the smoke/carbon items. She did clean the carpets & curtains.
The stove is filthy & kitchen floor sticky & insides of cupboards inside ech. The top of the cupboard on a enclosed porch looks like they ripped of the top cover? The toilet (second) upstairs not really used by them much - looks like it's scratched up - I've not tried to clean yet as I need to take pics.
I felt the walls should have at least been "dusted" down, stove cleaned & general cleaning.
I think sending a more detailed "cleaning" list might have helped .
