Avoid Personal info pitfalls w/ rental websites - Landlord Forum thread 361647

Avoid Personal info pitfalls w/ rental websites by Daniel (CA) on November 13, 2021 @16:33

Can someone outline a process on how to setup and handle an Apartments.com account (Primarily on how to keep digital communication with a new tenant)

For example:

setup a temporary sounding email address like : ProspectiveRenter@gmail.com
so that it is self evident that this email will not be used by and actual tenant.

(some websites use encrypted email addresses for prospective landlord/tenant communication)

more like ProspectiveLandlord@gmail.com

or how about freddy12345@gmail sounds less creepy

gmail accounts are great for anonymous

Why would you want the tenant to be anonymous?

ap.com when someone phones you it goes thru an anonymous phone# to your phone#
