12 year tenancy is very long term
if yours was a standard LL rental equipment stove, 12 years old it was long ago fully depreciated --- to 00.00
your tenant should have advised you and offered you the old broken stove, but IMHO no judge is going to give you nuttin for a 12 year old rental stove.

if you feel your ultimate negotiated offer for a Bertozonni stove is a good dollar amount,.....then buy the stove from your tenant.
I wouldnt put that level of appliance in a rental unless it was a AAAA property and expected with the suite of sub zero, viking and wolfe, but you might like it in your personal kitchen.
