Can Landlords take the energy tax credit? - Landlord Forum thread 362319

Can Landlords take the energy tax credit? by Monica on February 8, 2023 @14:21

Hello! I'm buying a new furnace and need to select which model to try to have installed depending on if landlords can take the Energy Tax Credit as per the Inflation Reduction Act. I get conflicting information in regards to possible requirement of property being primary residence. If so, it needs to be rated with Energy Star 1,2,3 (I think). If not, I'll just get the cheaper model. I may live there again someday.

Yes.
You should check with your accountant anyway.
