Go to the prosecutor and press charges. That is absurd. Stealing is stealing, what does breaking in or not have anything to do with it? People steal from stores all the time and police will make arrest if they catch them, they sure don't have to break into a store to be charged with stealing.

You can not simply go to the prosecutor and press charges. First you have to fill with the police or sheriff then get the prosecutor to get off his but and do something about it. Any prosecutor's office exist for political purposes and to take care of friends and relatives. They have no time for me and you. That is why our concerns are always "civil."

Man. The same thing happened to me. My called me to let em know that my tenant was moving out. I rushed to the place to find two guys with a rental truck outside the apartment. I call the cops opened the truck and found all my appliances in there (Washer, Dryer, Microwave, Stove, DW) cops didn't do a thing ask the goofs to put all appliances down and let them go. After checking I found out one of the guys involved was a well known criminal to police go figure!
