non paying disabled vet - Landlord Forum thread 317485

non paying disabled vet by Anonymous on April 14, 2014 @18:48

I rented a room to this disabled man thinking I would be helping a vet. Now after renting to him I find he is disabled, but not from the service. That being said, now I have been staying with my lady-friend, because of his constant, help me here help me there. Now the sheriff has told me, and made me leave my house. They told me I dont reside there. And I could not take my computer out of my house. It has my personal stuff on it , let alone what other personal things , birth certificate dd 214....any help ...please

What does you lease say? Did you rent one room to him. If so, you still live in the other rooms. But it appears you have allowed this tenant to take over your life. If he is month to month, serve notice to terminate and move him on. Then your tenant can see how much help he gets with an eviction on his record. Is the rent paid up?
