landlord hasnt removed his belongings in 10 months - Landlord Forum thread 321661

landlord hasnt removed his belongings in 10 months by eric (atascocita) on July 22, 2014 @18:15

so my landlord hasn't removed his belongs in ten months, we've asked him several times if he would and he says he'll make it a priority to do so. We also had to clean up the house and remove their belongs out of our own rooms, also he's left two holes in the walls and his son's name carved in our bathroom door. does he still have the right to hold us to the contract?

so you rented a place with the landlord's son's name carved in the bathroom door... and moved in with the landlord's stuff still in there....

Sounds like a real hardship case...
Did the landlord give you some kind of great deal that would entice you to move into a place like this with his stuff still in there? I'm guessing this isn't exactly a top notch rental nor a top priced one either.
I'm sorry but I feel like laughing at the silliness of your question.

OF COURSE he has the right to hold you to the contract if you are still occupying the property.
Does the lease say he will remove his son's name from the bathroom door Or clean out his stuff or it is null and void?

So pack his stuff up and take it to his house and unload it.

Did you write even one letter to the landlord asking for action?
