Re: Direct TV - Landlord Forum thread 324487

Re: Direct TV by Katiekate (New York) on September 15, 2014 @20:51

I took Direct TV to small claims court and won.

They must have the written authorization from the owner of the property. When I demanded to see this authorization letter (I expected to see the tenant forged my signature) ...turns out they had no written authorization at all.

I repaired the roof and the holes in the vinyl siding, and sued for the cost.

Thanks Katiekate, that's what I needed to hear. It really
irritated my glands when I saw that wire going into my new siding...and no, there was no written nor oral authorization, I was never asked.

Again, thanks,

Sue

I don't know why direct tv regularly installs a new dish on the roof when one or 2 dishes are already there?

    You got that!

Direct TV is the worst. TWC I actually have in their notes for all of my properties that the owner must be contacted for any holes or attachments to building. It just fries me that they can do this.
