"When the issue arises, I will inform myself about the subject."
It's too late to learn after the fact.

True. But why would I discriminate against someone in the first place? I would never say "you can't stay here because you are....."
If I say "no pets" and they have a seeing-eye dog, I would be able to tell that is a different circumstance.
What body of law are the discrimination laws written in? Is it the U.S. Code?
Is there anything else I need to know about other than discrimination law? Anything that "Landlord and Tenant" of the Florida Statutes doesn't cover?

There is state and federal law on discrimination which you should research and read. Also, look into the area of collateral discrimination to discover what actions you take, while themselves not discriminatory, may fall under the statutes because the result is discriminatory.

There are also occasionally municipal discrimination statutes. In my location, I cannot post an advertisement that explicitly discriminates against those requiring housing assistance. Now, I can find other legal reason to discriminate once I get an actual application, but I can't advertise that I don't accept Section 8.
